God's Favorite "Menu"

English Version

Well, kadang sama seperti pelayanan di sebuah gereja. Beda gereja, beda cara penyajian.

Tuhan memberkati

Whenever I’m travelling to Singapore or Malaysia, I will definitely looking for "Hainanese Chicken Rice"…anytime, anywhere. It could be in the street depot, restaurant, or food court. Of course, different places have their own kind "Hainanese Chicken Rice". The seasoning, topping, and the way "Hainanese Chicken Rice" is served are all different in every place. Some of them use mix minced garlic and ginger, while the others use soy sauce for additional flavor. That’s never been my problem because I was looking for the characteristic and uniqueness. From so many kind of "Hainanese Chicken Rice", Singaporean and Malaysian recipe are the ones that suit my palate best.

Well, it goes the same in the church ministry. Different the church, different the way the ministries are. But God is not looking for ministry that full of “accessories” or additional “seasoning” and “topping”. The sincere heart to do the ministry whole-heartedly is what God’s looking for. The sincere heart is our “unique flavor” of the ministry…the sincere heart to serve the Lord and glorify His name.

Let this story can be reflection for us, which are often pay more attention on how to present the ministry with all the “accessories”, rather than keep the humble goal of glorifying Him.

God bless.
